Green Operation Management

In addition to continuously enhancing its capabilities in managing climate-related risks and opportunities, Uni-President Asset Management is also actively promoting and implementing green operational practices starting from its own operations, with the aim of continuously improving environmental friendliness across multiple aspects.

Greenhouse Gas and Energy Consumption Management

Starting in 2024, Uni-President Asset Management’s Greenhouse Gas Inventory Promotion Team has conducted annual greenhouse gas inventories for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions across all operational sites. This year, the Company voluntarily completed the verification of the greenhouse gas inventory ahead of schedule to enhance the quality and credibility of the inventory data. By collecting activity data such as electricity consumption, fuel consumption, and refrigerants, and analyzing the inventory results, we have gained a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s overall energy consumption and carbon emissions trends. Scope 1 emissions primarily stemmed from fuel used in official vehicles and refrigerant leaks, while Scope 2 emissions, mainly from office electricity consumption, accounted for approximately 98% of total emissions. Based on the inventory results, the Company has prioritized office energy conservation and energy efficiency improvements as key focuses of green operations and carbon reduction management, and has established short-, medium-, and long-term goals. For details on the goals, please refer to the Short-, Medium-, and Long-Term (2025–2030) Sustainable Development Goals and Implementation Status; for details on the inventory and assurance, please refer to Greenhouse Gas Inventory Verification Statement.

Note 1: The Company conducts inventory in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol: A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (2004 Edition), using the operational control approach for aggregation and the emission factor method for calculation. Emission factors are based on the greenhouse gas emission factors announced by the Ministry of the Environment. The electricity emission factor is based on the 2025 electricity carbon emission factor of 0.467 kg CO₂e/kWh announced by the Energy Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs in June 2026. Global warming potential (GWP) values are based on the IPCC’s 2021 Sixth Assessment Report (AR6).

Note 2: The greenhouse gas inventory includes 7 greenhouse gases, namely, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, sulfur hexafluoride, and nitrogen trifluoride. The Company’s inventory results identified only 4 greenhouse gases, namely, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and hydrofluorocarbons.

Note 3: Scope 2 emissions this year do not include the allocated electricity consumption for common areas at branches.

Note 4: Total emissions are rounded to the nearest whole number.

Note5: Greenhouse gas emission intensity is calculated per unit of revenue (NT$ million). The Company’s revenue in 2025 amounted to NT$3,026.62 million.

Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Measures

In response to office energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement initiatives, Uni-President Asset Management continues to promote office energy-saving projects and internal campaigns to raise energy conservation awareness. Following the principle of prioritizing high-efficiency equipment, we are gradually upgrading to lighting and air conditioning systems with energy-saving labels to improve overall energy efficiency and reduce electricity consumption.

Furthermore, to deepen employees’ awareness of and engagement in energy conservation and environmental protection, 2 awareness campaigns were launched in 2025. The themes included “Love Earth, Power Down,” “Safe Electricity Use, Avoid Energy Waste,” and “Electrical Safety Awareness,” calling on all employees to integrate energy-saving principles into their work and daily lives.

Energy-Saving and Carbon Reduction ActionsImplementation Results
Replacement of office lighting equipment
  1. The Taipei headquarters has installed energy-efficient
  2. Cost expenditure amounted to NT$77,785
Replacement of energy-efficient air conditioning equipment
  1. Plan to replace 2 air conditioners with high-efficiency units by 2026
  2. Plan to gradually upgrade to high-efficiency air conditioning equipment
Procurement of products with environmental or energy-saving labels
  1. Used 174 eco-labeled toner cartridges in 2025
  2. Achieved 100% use of eco-labeled computer mainframes
Water Resources Management

In 2025, Uni-President Asset Management sourced 100% of its water from the public water supply, with a total annual water consumption of 5.69 thousand cubic meters, covering the headquarters and all branch operational sites. None of the operational sites draw groundwater, nor do they have on-site water extraction facilities or utilize other water sources. The Company’s water usage is limited to meeting the daily needs of employees and customers, such as restroom facilities, pantries, and general cleaning, and does not involve high-water-consumption equipment. Wastewater generated from operations consists of domestic sewage, which is legally discharged and treated in accordance with local regulations, causing no significant negative impact on surrounding natural water bodies. In addition, the Company conducts regular inspections of pipelines and drainage systems. This year, we completed the full replacement of all toilets with water-saving bidet toilet models, thereby reducing wastewater discharge and alleviating the load on the drainage system, which in turn lowers the risk of pollution.

Waste Management

Uni-President Asset Management places great importance on the management of waste generated during operational activities. An inventory of waste generated at each operational site has confirmed that all waste is non-hazardous, primarily consisting of waste paper, scrap metal such as aluminum and steel cans, discarded IT equipment or office supplies, and food waste. To reduce resource consumption and waste generation, the Company continuously raises employee awareness of resource recycling and reuse through daily promotion and the implementation of waste sorting management measures, such as posting sorting instructions in designated waste collection areas and distributing promotional materials. At the same time, we are actively implementing electronic document systems for official correspondence and forms. By streamlining operational processes, we guide employees to prioritize electronic methods for data transmission and document approval. We also encourage the use of recycled paper for printing and double-sided copying, gradually promoting a paperless office environment to enhance the efficiency of operational environmental management.

Green Procurement and Supply Chain Management

In addition to prioritizing green operations and implementing internal energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures, Uni-President Asset Management also promotes green procurement and works together with suppliers to fulfill social responsibilities. In accordance with the Procurement Management Guidelines, the Company procures computer monitors, computers, eco-friendly toner cartridges, energy-saving lighting, air conditioners, and office supplies that meet green, health, or corporate social responsibility criteria, giving priority to products with environmental or energy-saving labels. The total amount of green procurement reached NT$5.63 million in 2025. At the same time, we have established an evaluation and management mechanism in accordance with the Supplier Assessment Management Guidelines and require key suppliers to sign the Uni-President Asset Management Supplier Sustainability Commitment. This year, the signing rate among key suppliers reached 84%. Through this commitment, suppliers pledge to protect the natural environment and ecosystems, reduce the use of single-use items, control noise and emissions, and properly manage waste to prevent water, air, and soil pollution, thereby working together with the Company to build a sustainable supply chain.
