To strictly comply with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act and protect your privacy, Uni-President Asset Management Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), when collecting, processing, or using your personal data in the course of its business operations, acts in a manner that respects your rights and interests and hereby notifies you of the following matters in accordance with applicable regulations:
Categories of Personal Data
To conduct its various business operations and fulfill the matters you have entrusted to it, the Company will collect, process, and use your personal data, including personal identification data (name, national ID number, date of birth, mobile phone number, address, email address, etc.), financial identification data, characteristics, social circumstances, property, occupation, and other personal data.
Purpose of Collecting Personal Data
The Company collects your personal data to enable the Company, financial institutions with which it does business, securities or financial regulatory authorities and their designated institutions, and other companies cooperating with the Company to conduct securities investment trust business, futures trust business, discretionary investment-related business, and other businesses approved by the competent authorities. This includes, but is not limited to, fund management, customer service, marketing, auditing, risk management, anti-money laundering, and other activities required by law. We will process or use your personal data within the scope of the specific purposes agreed upon with you and other business operations approved by the competent authorities.
Period, Territory, Recipients, and Methods of Use of Personal Data
- Period: The period during which your personal data is used begins when the Company starts collecting such data and ends when the specific purpose ceases to exist. The Company will determine this period in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and any contracts or written agreements between you and the Company.
- Territory: In principle, your personal data will be used within the territory of the Republic of China.
- Recipients: Within the scope of the business entrusted by you to the Company and to the extent permitted by laws, regulations, and the requirements of competent authorities, the Company may disclose your personal data to the competent authorities responsible for the relevant business and to third parties where necessary for the performance of the entrusted business or a contract.
- Methods: Collection, processing, and use will be conducted via written documents, fax, telephone, electronic documents, the Internet, or other appropriate methods.
During the period in which the Company retains your personal data, pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act, you may exercise your rights to inquire about or access your personal data, obtain copies thereof, supplement or correct it, request the cessation of its collection, processing, or use, or request its deletion. However, the foregoing does not apply to the extent necessary for the performance of a contract or the conduct of business operations.
To maintain the integrity and accuracy of your personal data and ensure that the Company can provide the best financial services, you may exercise your rights, to the extent permitted by law and in a manner consistent with the management requirements of the relevant business, through the Company’s customer service contact point (customer service hotline: 02-27478388 ext. 0).
When the Company needs to collect, process, or use your personal data for the purposes described above, you are free to choose whether or not to provide your personal data. If you choose not to provide your personal data or provide incomplete personal data, the Company will be unable to provide you with the relevant services.
